About the Play:
"ARSENIO!" follows Yenifer, a young woman striving to join the Bronx Conservatory of the Arts. Overcoming fear and insecurity, she encounters the legendary Arsenio Rodríguez in a shadow world, who guides her toward self-discovery through their shared musical heritage. Expect an evening of vibrant music, fun, and familial love—appropriate for all ages!

A Special Send-Off to Africa:
These performances precede our upcoming tour to the XIV Simposio Internacional Jorge Isaacs: Manuel Zapata Olivella Vuelve a África in Dakar, Senegal, from November 17-24, 2024. We are honored to be special guests at this symposium, celebrating the transatlantic dialogue around the legacy of Manuel Zapata Olivella and exploring the deep connections between Africa and its diasporas. Our participation will include performances of "¡ARSENIO!" and "Hotel de Vagabundos," reflecting themes of historical migrations, cultural exchanges, and artistic expressions.

Join us as we celebrate Latine Heritage Month

To mark the occasion, we are presenting five evocative plays that uplift and shed light on the immigrant experience.  Every weekend from Sept. 21st until October 15th you can experience a different exploration of Latinidad through theater, poetry, and literature.  All events are FREE.
